Scott's New Car

Today is a great day for Coach Tank (Scott, my husband - of course). God has answered his prayers. He's all prayed out for a car and today, the Lord answered his prayers. From my understanding, Scott HATES car shopping. He honestly believe that it's a waste of time. So he asked his Father in prayer to car shop for him. He just wanted a 4 door and 4 wheels that saves gas while driving. This morning, I was called to work to sign some overtime papers and I asked Scott to ride with me. Tiara went with us. Around 9 am, Scott said, "I want to go over Bobby Duby's and talk to Josh (Not Josh Bonjour lol) about a car. He always gets me the PERFECT car for me." As a matter of fact, Josh sold every vehicle that we owned in the past 15 years...as Scott said in coaching terminology, "Josh is batting a thousand!" It means that every car that Josh picked out, Scott bought it. So, we drove over to the car lot and saw Josh at the parking lot. Scott and Josh had a conversation about cars so Josh said, "Let me look around to see if we have the perfect car for you." We walked around, checking out cars...Mustang, Infinity, Mustang, Toyata, Mustang, Nissan, Mustang...hey Scott, quit going back to the Mustangs! Then Josh stood in front of KIA Optima and said, "She's crying out for you!!" Scott, Tiara and I went over to check it out. It is beautiful! Scott fell in love with it and Tiara loved it too! The color is metalic blue with gray interior. It drives SMOOTH and it purrs like a cat. I didn't realized that it was fast and furious!!! We took it to NeeNee and Papa's house. Tori came over and she said that she loved it so much. Papa said that it was the perfect car for Scott. Praise the Lord! Here is a picture of his car.....

Even you see that color of the car BLUE makes me sick because I am wearing blue shirts to work EVERYDAY! Can you imagine! LOL....JJK.....But I liked his new car even he's letting me drive! He's sweet! :)

Tiara's 10th Birthday!

What a day! Today is Tiara's 10th birthday. I can't imagine that my baby is growing up. It seemed that it was yesterday when I changed her diapers. Time flies! Today is special because we celebrated Tiara's Birthday on Sunday, the Lord's Day. I had to work today because we have to finish Wal Mart's inventory for the year and it is a long process. So I went to work early today and Scott took Tori and Tiara out for breakfast. Then they went to church. Tiara was exciting to hear "Happy Birthday" from her SS Teachers and her friends. After church, Scott took the girls to Tiara's favorite Mexican restaurant - El Patron. Michael, Courtney and Gus Mast ate their with them. Tiara thought it was cool having her friends eating with her. After a long day of waiting, Tiara couldn't wait for her party to start. Scott picked me up at work and we went to Shore's Swimming Pool to celebrate Tiara's Birthday. NeeNee and Papa brought some great pizzas. The whole family and friends had so much fun! Tiara is precious and our joy! Happy Birthday to you Tiara!

Trent's new lesson!

Trent called last night and talked to the whole family for 10 minutes! (We don't like SHORT phone calls!). Tori talked to him and her face beamed when she heard his voice! She held her tears while she talked to Trent and then she passed phone to Tiara. She almost melt when she heard his voice. Both Tori and Tiara always get exciting when they talk to their brother on the phone. They haven't seen him since March of '09. Scott and I have decided to let the girls take turn talking to Trent because we SEE Trent each week in person, I know it's not fair for the girls not to see their brother. It has been a painful road for them. They hated the fact that they can't see their own brother. So the phone call was special and they had a great time visiting with Trent. Tori said that Trent was taking guitar lessons. He said that he really liked it and learn a lot! (Not like mini golden guitar on picture as you saw) Lol....He said he would like to teach Tori and Tiara how to play a guitar. We are so proud of him! He also said he have been thinking about going to Army. Wow! (I don't want him go far away from us). But we understand that army pays for his college where ever he wants to go. But he said that he's just thinking about it. Please pray for him that God gives him to make a right decision to find a right path for him to go wherever he goes. God will always be with him! He is doing good. We can't wait to see him tomorrow afternoon when I get off work! He also will go to Phase 3 very soon! Can't wait! We missed him terribly! His birthday is coming soon. We will post a pictures of him from baby to now. Don't forget to come back on Aug. 9th. Have a wonderful weekend!

Coach's Wife!

Hello! I am getting ready for bed, But first I want to post some pictures to show you what my husband got me from Austin where he attended and lectured Texas High School Coaches Convention. I am glad he is back home safe!

Most of you know that Scott has been a high school head coach for more than 20 years since we got married. He has put in a lot of time with his job as a coach and it has not very easy on me as a wife and kids while he goes out of town a lot. I totally understand that it is his job. My favorite sports for Scott to coach is BASKETBALL AND BASEBALL! I loved traveling with him when he coached at San Jacinto Christian Academy and West Texas Christian School. Those were the BEST memories! Scott got a new job at Bushland and he will be coaching Jr High Football, head HS Wrestling, and Jr. High Track. He will also teach American Sign Language. For the first several years, Caprock was good to Scott and he became very successful wrestling coach. It was a difficult road for all of us...winning 13 state titles and numerous regional and district titles. He was inducted in the National Wrestling and Texas Wrestling Hall of Fame. I know that Scott and I will like Bushland! As a matter of fact, the coaches at Bushland have welcomed Scott and made him feel like he's one of them. He said that he had the best time in Austin with his new friends. I am looking forward to be at the games to support my husband! He is my best friend. He got those T- Shirts for me. I LOVE IT! I can't wait to wear it for the games! Thank you Scott for the surprising gifts!

So these quotes are TRUE!!!!!
Have a good weekend! G'Night,
Angie

Now she's a teenager! Oh my! I am really proud of her. God made her unique. Scott and I thank God daily for our kids. We have been blessed with her presence in our lives. She is our pride and joy!! We pray for Tori daily that God is protecting her and give her strenghth. She gets more beautiful each day. Please read the very first story at the bottom if you haven't read. Then click on the older posts and start at the bottom, Then read the story about Tori.

Here is Tori's FIRST swimsuit that I have been save for 13 years! I got it from baby shower gift on that day she was born! (Her due was July 23, Baby shower was on July 20th!She born on Baby shower!) 3 days early! Here is a picture of swimsuit.

We had so much fun at hotel where we stayed at Drury Inn, She invited her best friend, Evelyn. Just 5 of us is me, Tori, Evelyn, Tiara and my great- niece Riley stayed there yesterday afternoon until today. We also invited my in- laws family to come and swimming and hot tub with us for a few hours. Then they left and just 5 of us back to swimming after dinner. They had been SO much fun! Then this morning we went back to swimming for an hour and half. They went back to our room and changed clothes getting ready for a shopping at Old Navy and Mall for Tori to shopping with her birthday money. She just bought a cute dress from Old Navy and Jean from Gap. she had money left that she wanted to save later. Then went to Wal Mart to scan Tori's pictures from baby to toddlers to make a CD so I am adding this for Blog. It makes us sad to see those pictures of Tori. Can't believe how fast she had grown up to become a teenager! What a blessings to have a daughter just like her! :)

Yesterday at church, some of our friends sang Happy Birthday to Tori, I told them NO! Not yet wait until 1:43 pm that exactly time she was born! We all laughing. Later last night, Tori woke me up at 12:00ish said now I am 13!! I told her no wait until 1:43 pm. We drove on the way to Wal Mart and saw the time in our van it said 1:42, one min left until 1:43 then we sing Happy Birthday to Tori in van! How fun! She giggles!! She said she had one of the BEST time! She had a nice birthday!

Hello again,

I just post about Tori's birthday...She had so much fun! But I will also post on
Monday. We wish that Trent is here with us to celebrate Tori's Birthday. But I am thankful about Blog where we can write our story to keep our updates for Trent to read when he gets out of Rehab. So he will not miss anything! He is still always part of our lives! I love to write and downloading pictures to share with our special friends and family and even TRENT too! I love you, Trent :)

Anyway, As you already know that Scott is out of town to Austin this weekend. He couldn't be able to come with us to visit Trent today. So, my parents in law are coming with me to visit Trent. BUT I will be out of town on Aug. 6 to 12 for L.I.F.E deaf youth camp. So I won't see him on that weekend! :( It will be Scott's turn with his parents to visit Trent! So That's a fair, airn't it! :) Scott and I always faith to visit our son. We will NOT miss it! No matter what we will visit him every weekend. He is our pride and joy!

Ok, My parents in laws Earl and Shirley and I went visit Trent. He looks SO good even more cute and grown up a little by little each day (He is still always my baby!). He told us how exciting he is about his tournament tomorrow all day by playing softball (All his comrades IIP/SAIT against each other). He said he will be on 1st base. He is really looking forward to play tomorrow. How sad that we not go by to watch him plays! I hope that staff take a pictures and give it to him so he can show it to us! I love pictures! That's the one what he is excited about! I am proud of him. I know Scott will be sad too.

And also He said he and his friends have been practice on a song christian rap for church on Monday night that he and his friends will sing. Again, we will be sad because we will not watch him sings! But Glad he is telling us everything what he is doing! So we will remember what he have been doing there! What a fun for him! I will tell Scott about Trent and also he will read this.

The other day Trent and his group could not talk from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm. Some of the kids it was hard but not for Trent because he can sign!!He is trying to use his body language by signs action to his friends in which they can permission but no talk! How funny that his friends are trying to figure out what Trent is talking about?!? Heh Heh...I love to hear his story. He is so funny. (If you talk you would have to be put in time out!) One of Trent's friends talked, he was put in time out! He was in time out for so long that he fell asleep! When he was asleep he leaned foward and fell!! He busted his lip open!! Trent explained to us. Poor him! I bet it hurts him when he eats or drinks. Can you get a picture of it?!

He also said that the other day they were playing volleyball and Trent has no idea how to play!! Well he was trying to bump the ball and he hit the ball on the wrong place of his arm and it gave him a bruise! That was another funny story. But he had a blast!

Please pray for Trent that God is protecting him and give him a strenghth, give him a faith in Him! Thank you. You all are an awesome people in our lives! We love you! Thank you for your faithful to read our blog!

Tori's early birthday!

Scott is leaving for Austin this morning until Tuesday night. He's going to be one of the speakers at TX HS Coaches Association. Scott will miss Tori's first birthday (Her birthday is on Monday July 20th). Yesterday, Scott took Tori out for Dad-Daughter Day. He took her to Lin's for lunch and then to Drury Inn to reserve a room for the family to celebrate on Sunday. Then they went to Target (Tori's favorite place and me too!) and then to the MALL!!! They walked around slowly, doing some 'people watching' (Scott's favorite hobby). Scott and Tori went to pick up Tori's B-Day Cookie at American's Great Cookie Store. What a day!

Then Scott and Tori picked me up from work and took me home so I can wrap Tori's present. Tori is homeless for the day!!! She can't go to NeeNee and Pawpaw's house because they decorated their house for Tori's B-Day. And she couldn't even go to her own home because I had her presents here! Finally, we went over to Neenee and Pawpaw's house. The whole family were waiting for the golden girl. We had hamburgers and chicken...We ate cookie (Tori's FAVORITE cookie). Tori felt honored and she didn't want the day to end!!!! And lastly, she opened her presents! She got Coach purse, sweaters, stack up ring, and other things. She had the time of her life! She said this is one of her BEST time she ever had! I am glad she had a good birthday! Here is some of pictures. Enjoy it!

And the last present we gave her is a box inside is Tinker backpack (She hates tinker) When she opened the present she won't take it out. I told her to get out to show family what she got. She was giggle she knew she doesn't like it! I told her this is for school! Then she open and got a weekly planner book for school she loves it and always write it down everything in every classes! She's a good responsibility to do her homework, study for test or events at school. We are proud of her! Anyway back to her backpack, she again looked inside and pick it out there is a COACH PURSE, She was surprised and SO excited! She have been begging wants a coach purse. It's expensive we cannot afford to buy one for her. We told her NO, not now. But until our friends Josh and Libby flew to Houston for Josh to take interpreter test. Meanwhile, they went out to shopping at outlets store, Libby text me and they knew that Tori wanted a coach purse and asked me if I not care for her to buy a purse so I pay her when she gets back. (It's cheap there at outlet store) I told her YES! She got a cute purse for Tori. She gave it to me and I paid her. I hide the purse since last April until now Whew.... (I won't tell you where I hide because Tori will read this and will figrue out know to find where we hide Christmas presents! Sorry Tori :( ). Tori really LOVES it so much...Thank you Libby and Josh for the purse you picked out the perfect one! We love you Josh, Libby and Noah :)

You may read Tori's Blog...:)

EP to Lubbock to Amarillo to my computer....

Hello everyone!!! This is Scott and I grounded my wife from using the computer! heh...no, not really...if I did that...you know that I'll be in the dog house sharing bed with Mikki. :)

I went to El Paso to coach at a wrestling camp. It was held at El Dorado High School and wrestlers from El Dorado, Hanks, Franklin, El Paso High, and Americanas participated in the 3-day wrestling camp. I LOVE IT!!!! Coach Freddie Flores, the head coach at El Dorado, and I had this camp for 3 years. Each year, wrestlers have made huges improvement. Working at this camp is hard work...my thighs get real sore. Believe me...it was so bad that I was tempted to fill up the bathtub with ice and soak in it. Nah, the thought of freezing my legs off wasn't very appealing so I chickened out. So what did I do about it? Just bit my lip and worked hard. Gotta practice what I preach...No Pain-NO Glory! I still can feel the wunnerful pain.

I flew on Southwest to Lubbock where my wife and daughters picked me up. My heart melted when I saw them! I love the feeling of being a dad after seeing my daughters ran up to me, yelling "DADDY, DADDY!" How do I know? I saw them with my own eyes...I can read lips and seeing that Daddy, Daddy just melts my heart. I hugged both of them and said I love you. Then I saw my beautiful wife, I knew that I was in the right place. Yes, the old saying "absence makes love grow fonder" rings true. Last night, I went over to Coach Flores house to watch UFC 100 and I showed his wife some pictures of Angie in my sidekick and she said, "Your wife is pretty,"

And I responded, "Yes, I know." It just blurted out but that's how I feel about my wife. Man, she's still fine!!! After all these years, I still think she's fine!!!!!

I couldn't wait to get to Amarillo and see Trent. I drove to Neenee and Pawpaw's house to drop off the girls. I went in to say Hi to my parents and visited with them for a little bit because I wanted to get on the road to see Trent. We were gonna meet up again at Home Plate Diners after I visited Trent.

Angie and I were the first ones in line. We wanted to get a private room so we can visit outloud. There are other people around and getting a room reduces all the distraction and we can have our moments together. Trent brought a book and shared it with us. It's a daily devotional book. Trent talked about humility and how he needed to learn to apply it in his life. He said that humility is a hard subject to tackle because drug addicts and alcoholics are self-centered people. He said that he remembered how he didn't care about anyone but himself. "Dad, you don't know what went on in my world. It was always about me! ME ME ME!!! I didn't care if I hurt you or mom or anyone as long as I got my drugs."

"Oh Dad, Mom...I have to relearn about life all over again. I hated that feeling and now I'm learning about humility...and I dont' want to hurt anyone again."

Deep stuff from my own son. God is teaching him...here's another deep stuff from Trent. "Dad, you know that when I was outside in the free world, I was in prison...locked up in my own mind, being addicted to drugs/alcohol. But here at the Youth Center, I am free even though I am not out in the free world. I am free of drugs and alcohol." It's amazing.

And then Trent went on to talk about his experience on top of a telephone pole. One of his assigments was to get on top of 30 foot telephone pole and jump off to a trapazee. Even though he was strapped with harness, he said that he was SCARED!!!!!! When he was standing on top of it...the wind blew and he almost fell.

One of his counselors said, "God is telling you to hurry up and jump!"

Trent jumped and caught the bar! Whew! What an experience.

30 minutes went by fast and we had to leave. We hated the fact that we only get to see our son for 30 minutes a week. When Trent gets promote to phase 2 and 3, we'll get an hour of visit and a 30 minute phone call.

Angie and I went to Home Plate Diners to celebrate Brad's birthday. He's Teffny's husband. She's my sister's daughter. She's my parent's granddaughter. She's my son's and daughter's cousin. And finally, she's my niece. LOL!!!

Anyways, there were two bowls in front of Teffny...one was mayonaise and the other was mash potatos. She fed her daughter, Landree - 4 month old baby, mash potatos and somehow she scooped up some mayonaise...thinking it was mash potatos, and fed Landree...eeeewww!! But Landree didn't mind. She a wonderful girl!

Grace to you and peace from God.

Trent's Number...196

Scott and I went to see Trent at the Youth Center. We always look forward seeing him, even if it's only for 30 minutes. Please allow me to explain why we get 30 minutes of visitation. There are 4 phases in the SAIT program. Right now Trent is in Phase 4 which is the starting phase and he gets very little privileges such as 10 minute phone call once a week and 30 minutes parental visitation until he works his way out of phase 4 (doing assignments, earning points, following the rules, etc...). In the next phase, he'll get 1 hour visitation, 30 minute phone call and 3 day home pass and few other things. If Trent continues to work hard and improve each week, he should graduate from the program in January.

Back to the visitation, Trent was excited about his weekend. He told us that he played softball and outdoor activities for 4 hours. His comrades in the program were surprised to see a "lil white kid can hit the ball!!!" He said that he was surprised to still have his touch in softball. He said that he hit the fence!!!! Then they ate 4th of July food!! He said that he was bloooooped! ;) Then they watched Madea Goes to Jail. Trent said that he had a BLAAAAST!

One thing that Trent was proud of...and that Scott/I were so touched how Trent kept up with his numbers. He repeately said "196, 196, 196..." Scott asked him what did he mean by 196. Trent responded, "196 days of soberiety. I have been sober for 196 days!" That touched our hearts. I can see Scott getting all tearied up. The big man shedding tears really touched me. I can see how much he loves Trent. He means the world to both of us. I love my son and I wish the world for him. You know I cry easily and seeing Scott's "softer" side and Trent's seriousness about staying sober really got me. I know that he has a long ways to go, but I can also see how far he has come along. God is working in his life and Trent realizes that God is at work.

Then, Trent showed us his homework that he has to do for SAIT program. I was impressed with his honesty. Scott and I looked over his notebook and the things that he has to do to get to the next phase. Each phase takes about 4 to 6 weeks to complete and if Trent doesn't do his part, there will be a set back. So if he continues to work hard, it should take about 6 months to complete it. Please pray that God will enlighten him to see things and give him the best of his ability to do his assignments. Please God give Trent your strength and wisdom to see things in Your way. Amen.

4th of July

Hello! Hope you all had a GREAT 4th of July! Tori and I were kinda of sad because Scott and Tiara were not with us on 4th of July. Scott went to Colorado (read bottom "My poor blackberry" about Scott's trip). But I had a good time with Tori and my twins niece Shyloe/ nephew Austin. I am exhausted from a BUSY DAY!!! When I got off work at 4, I went over my sister's house to help Tori babysitting the twins. We took them to eat at IHOP (all restaurants are closed that's why we went to IHOP). When we arrive there, Shyloe saw and said YAY! YAY! Then we went to our church and got the lawn chairs and watched the twins played and ran all over the yard. I got a small glimpse of what Jon & Kate plus 8 goes through everyday...imagine having 8 kids!!! Tori and I ran with them, played with them, laughed with them. They are balls of energy!! They really had a great time! When it got dark, we sat down and watched fireworks. It was beautiful! After that, we left went back to my sister's house to put the twins to bed. Tori and I were worn out by twins! There will be a new show called John & Misty plus 3.

Today, I woke Tori and the twins up for church. I have to tell you a funny story about Shyloe and Austin at church. As they walked in the nursery, they saw so many toys...they couldn't believe it. They were in AWE!!!! Their eyes got big and Shyloe said "WOW!" So funny...I laughed so hard. After church, We went to Wal Mart (again, when Shyloe saw Wal Mart, she said "YAY! YAY!"). Austin called his sister "Shywo". After I made a picture for my sister at Wally World, we went over my sister's house to drop off twins. They are so thrilled to see their parents and older brother. (They went to lake all day yesterday and got home today). Tori and I really enjoyed to spending some time with Shyloe and Austin. They are so cute and funny! It remind me of Trent, Tori and Tiara when they were their age.

Then we went home and helped Tori packing for GA camp tonight. I am so tired! No nap! :( Around 4:00, Scott, his parents and Tiara arrived home from Colorado. We are so happy they got home safe! Get Tori's stuff in van and left went to visit Trent. (Girls cannot visit Trent because they're not over 18 years old). They missed their brother so much! They stayed in lobby and waited for us. After we visited Trent, We took Tori to High Plains Baptist Encampment for GA camp. She is excited about being a staffer. Also, she is looking forward to worship/ praise/learn more about God! While we drop Tori off. Other staff saw Tiara and told me she can come to the camp. I told them she just arrived home from Colorado. So now we went back to my in-law's to pick up Tiara's clothes from trailer (Here's the blessing - Neenee already washed it before they came home!) We packed her clothes immediately. Tiara is so exciting about going to camp It's her first time! It's wonderful for her experience and learn about God there! I am proud of them! Please pray for my girls.

Here is a pictures of my twins niece Shyloe and nephew Austin. They had a BLAST on 4th of July.

Have a wonderful week!

My poor blackberry!

You cannot believe what happened to my blackberry! Since Scott left this morning after work on his way to Colorado to help his parents load up everything. They changed their mind not to stay there for another week. They decide to come home early this Sunday, Tori and I can't wait to see my little girl, Tiara!

Tori's best friend pick her up to spending the time with her friend, Evelyn until 3:45 to drop her off at Wal Mart waiting on me to get off work at 4. I asked her if she wants to go eat before we go home and rest....She said yes! So we are thinking and decide to eat at Denny's (haven't been in there for a long time! Out of blue!! :D ) We ordered our food and we had a GREAT time chatting and laughing. We are full and asked the lady to give me to go box, so we put our food and take it home.

When we arrived home I took my food and put it in refrigerator, came to computer and check my messages. I realize that I don't have my BB. I have been looked everywhere around the house, Oh no! It must left at Denny's. Then sudden pop in my mind and went to refrigerator to check my box. You know what? My BB is sitting on top of the box. My bb is really cold! I am worried, hope it is not ruining. But it's OK now..... BB is getting warm! Whew.......
